I’ve just discovered SKY remote record. It allows you to program your Sky+ box either from the web, compatible mobile phone or text. It’s really rather good. I’ve just logged into my MySky account, and set Deal or No Deal to record. It saved me having to go downstairs and more usefully it worked (although I had to go downstairs to check - oh the irony) . Unfortunately my mobile isn’t compatible with the service, but I still should be able to record things via text. Technology is a wonderful thing.

My favourite new site of the week is Instructables. It’s a community site giving you detailed instructions on how to make stuff. My favourites are the computer keyboard wallet, how to use mont blanc ink in a pilot G2 and building an ornithopter out of household junk.

Billy and I have been playing around with the opensource stopmotion stop-animation application. He has created this short with his Lego.
